The Freddy the Pig books, long considered classics of American children's literature are with each reissue by Overlook Press finding new readers.

Mr. Boorschmidt's circus in Centerboro boasted a new attractionsix real Martians, in their original flying saucerthe first six Martians ever to be exhibited anywhere. But Mr. Boorschmidt felt the customers were not getting their money's worth. Freddy decided to helpby organizing a Martian baseball team.
